Producer · Songwriter
Jacopo Sam Federici is a producer and songwriter born in Latina, currently based in Milan. Throughout his career he has collaborated with artists including Eros Ramazzotti, Renato Zero, Ligabue, Ron, Lorenzo Fragola, Mika, Paola & Chiara, Ornella Vanoni, and many others.
Most of his productions are credited under FET BASTARDs, the duo he formed with Iacopo Pinna, a multi-platinum producer based in Los Angeles. Together they have worked on projects reaching audiences across Europe and North America, with mastering by Randy Merrill and Kevin Larsen, and session contributions from Sterling Lowes (Olivia Rodrigo).
Sam also works as an orchestral transcriber and coordinator, with an ongoing collaboration with the Budapest Orchestra — a thread running through all his work: the conviction that arranging and production are the same discipline, approached from different ends.
The studio sits beneath a farmhouse built in the early 1900s in Cambiago, outside Milan — original brick vaulted ceiling, custom acoustic treatment, and sixteen channels of conversion at 96kHz. The instruments here cannot be emulated. The room cannot be replicated.
Cabling: Mogami throughout.
Patching: 2× Signex CPT96 D25 (non-normalized bantam patchbays).
Productions, co-productions and sessions — the thread connecting them is analogue warmth brought into a modern context.
